Before the Birth: An Embodied Exploration of Birth Preparation

$0.00

Join us for a two-hour workshop exploring what a body-centered, reflective, and creative approach to birth preparation looks like in practice — and how birth workers and doulas can deepen the relational, whole-person care they already bring into their work with individual clients and in community settings.

This workshop introduces the Birth Preference Kit, a trauma-informed, culturally responsive toolkit designed to support birthing people through the full experience of birth exploration, from how they want to feel to how they want to be held, cared for, and supported. We'll walk through how to use each guide, how to facilitate the process, and how to prepare yourself to hold this kind of space.

What We'll Cover:

  • The Birth Preference Kit — what it is, what's included, and how each guide works

  • The six birth exploration themes and how to guide clients through them

  • Tools for showing up fully — how to hold space, follow your client's lead, and support their own inner knowing

  • Community care and group facilitation — how this work translates into group and workshop settings and why collective care matters

  • Preparing yourself to hold this space — inner preparation, self-care, and sustainability in birth work

  • Prevention as practice — whole-person care before birth and the connection to outcomes

Who This Is For: Doulas, childbirth educators, midwives, birth workers, and anyone who supports birthing people in individual or group settings.

What's Included: The full Birth Professional Bundle — Core Workbook, Birth Preference Companion Guide, and Birth Preference Facilitator Guide — delivered upon registration.
