Our Mission
I Hear You Sis is a reproductive justice and healing justice organization centering the health, the voices, and the thriving of Black and Brown women. We were built on a truth that should not be radical: our bodies deserve more than survival.
We believe that every person has the right to make decisions about their own body and that chronic stress and the compounding impact of moving through systems that were never built for our bodies have made that right harder to access. We also believe that the body that carries the weight also carries the wisdom. We exist to close that gap because health is a justice issue, and thriving should not be the exception.
How we work
Everything we do moves through the ROOTED framework —
Recognize · Observe · Orient · Transform · Emerge · Develop
We Root in
We are all innately whole.
Healing is our birthright.
Our bodies hold the history and the medicine
Justice lives in the body.
Stress, trauma, and systemic harm are carried in the body and they can be released from the body.
We release what was never ours to carry.
Rest is not a reward. It is a practice.
The science of our bodies and the wisdom of our ancestors point to the same truth
